Estran, seaweed boat

The Estran, a seaweed boat, has been taken out of the water and is now in the Port Museum’s restoration area on Place de l’Enfer. It will be entirely restored by the museum’s technical team, with the work expected to take over a year. This boat, which bears witness to the harvesting of seaweed in Brittany, will then return to the moored collection.
Visitors can discover this seaweed boat and the work of the shipwrights, thanks to tours of the Estran restoration site. They can also learn more through a small exhibition about seaweed harvesting in Brittany and a seaweed-themed cooperative game.
